Hello! Welcome to my blog. Here’s a little background on who I am, why I am passionate about developing trusted school leadership, and how we can connect.
My organizational and leadership experience includes working in senior leadership roles of several international schools, non-profit ministries, and corporations. Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving with some of the most amazing and trusted leaders, who have modeled what it takes to lead, guide, and balance the unique challenges of a high-quality organization.
As a trainer and speaker, I have also enjoyed the privilege of serving schools and universities throughout the USA, as well as in Canada, Mexico, England, Ireland, Wales, Poland, Germany, India, Sri Lanka, Guatemala, Belize, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Paraguay, and Ecuador.
Although I have worked with a broad range of organizations (e.g. military installations to media outlets, etc.), my passion is Trusted School Leadership. In fact, that was the focus of my doctoral research, through which I discovered that the single greatest indicator of successful schools is TRUST; no matter if success is defined by student achievement levels, workplace satisfaction of faculty and staff, or financial stability.
When schools leaders focus on developing high levels of trust, they witness amazing results! Not only does the research demonstrate this truth – I, and many other school administrators around the world, have personally experienced this truth.
My full-time passion and commitment is that of leading Desert Christian Schools in Tucson, AZ, where I serve as Headmaster (i.e. Superintendent). In addition, I am available to a limited number of schools each year as an Executive Consultant with the Global School Consulting Group.
My contribution to this amazing team of school consultants, is that of providing school leadership training for owners, board members, administrators, principals, coordinators, grade-level leaders, and even student leaders; as well as consultation on strategic school and academic improvement.
If I can be of service to your school, university, or organization, simply click on the link below to schedule a time for you and I to talk more about The Trusted School Leader Training, or whatever your school’s needs may be. I look forward to assisting you in any way that I am able.
All my best,
Toby A. Travis, Ed.D.
